About Planet Youth Tipperary

Planet Youth Tipperary was launched in September 2024. For the first Planet Youth survey 30 schools and education centres across the county participated. This survey gathered information on the lived experiences of over 1700 young people regarding their health and wellbeing. Young people not in education, training, or employment opportunities were also surveyed across the county. We are the first Planet Youth site to survey this group of young people.

We are delighted so many schools and education centres, young people and their parents across the county supported Planet Youth in its first survey. We think this is a great achievement and shows the commitment to improving the lives of our young people by evidencing what they have to say about their lived experiences.

We are pleased to partner with Wicklow as a shared Planet Youth site and we will learn together and from each other as we implement Planet Youth over the next five years. We look forward to learning from what young people report through the survey to enhance our communities across Tipperary.
